Net10 Nationwide service in the US

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Net10 for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

With Net10 Unlimited you can have unlimited talk, text and data everywhere in the United States for no more then $50. This sounds very good!

Usually I find phone and internet providers very troublesome. I have to sign tons of papers for a single phone and queuing there I am always thinking why I do not have to provide these papers if I want to buy bred? What makes gadgets and services so special that  I need a lawyer to buy them?

At Net10 Unlimited there are no contracts, annoying bills or credit checks. Ok, their phone portfolio is a but narrow to me but at least they use the most reliable manufactures like LG, Nokia, Samsung, Motorola or Kyocera.

This is basically a pre-paid system and you can activate/reactivate your service easily online at: www.net10.com

Actually this is very practical for travelers or businessmen as you do not have to deal with different charges and zones and you can arrange your payment wherever you are. I guess this system as invested especially for people who are moving very flexibly and do not want to be tied to any location. Especially not by service providers. This flexibility is valid for international relations, too. With the system of Net10 you can reach over 75 countries

To get more information on Net10 you may visit their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/NET10Wireless

Or twitter account: http://twitter.com/Net10_Wireless

You can see what a Real NET10 customer says. And here is a Cute NET10 commercial.

By now, we can consider ourselves as frequent travelers. Recently, we have just returned from Amsterdam and those lovely memories are still lingering in our minds. Some of you asked how do we make our travel planning? Well, it wasn't so difficult as we make our travel plans normally online to save time.

One of the tools which helps us to manage our flight choices is through the Travelgrove.com. The search results simply returns exactly the planning choices that we need. Let's say we want to know which are the cheap flights available. We are usually spoiled with options of different providers and airlines on Travelgrove.

Wallet friendly solution albeit the cheapest flight

If you are planning and hoping for a wallet friendly solution to Hungary, we can suggest another great tip that is almost free for everyone. From budget travel to luxury travel, backpacking or even getting fantastic information about the nightlife of the destination city. One of the most useful is the food search, you must eat somehow and somewhere indefinitely.

We prefer to obtain our information by reading the other travel blogs. This is especially relevant if you already knew which places are the recommended ones to go. Or even randomly reading the other travels for ideas of where to discover. Travel blogging is gaining its popularity, day by day. Honestly, it was reading about the experiences of travelers to wonderful destinations which fills up the gap. Real photographs and genuine adventures. No travel brochures beats a real encounter.

Getting More Miles

How about getting more miles for your next flight? Or even rewarding yourself for lots of mileage? To consider flying to a destination instead of driving or taking the train has its benefits sometimes.

If you are traveling to many other destinations, generally you can really be rewarded for lots of mileage after some time. For this, a smart way to manage these mileage will be ideal. Imagine all this happening at an instant when you can just click on the frequent flyer smart button. For us, we just have to manage all our award miles and choose smartly in a way for a next free flight.

Interview with Luna Charles

Luna Charles is self-publish author and the Director of Hardcastle Enterprises Corp.. Men Are Not The Problem is Luna's first novel, which was released October 2010. We made a short interview with her.

Luna Charles

As a writer, you have received quite a number of good reviews. What kind of reviews about your writing do you appreciate the most?
I appreciate all reviews. But the ones I appreciate the most are the honest ones, the ones givens from the heart. I believe every artist works every day to better themselves, not only for their art but for their fans. And heartfelt reviews help us do this, it helps me become a better writer and please my fans more.

Were the ''interracial-multicultural" elements in your novel based on your personal experiences or based upon researches and observations around you?
Most of it was base on my personal experience. I don’t think there is any substitute for that kind of understanding when you’re a writer. Life I believe is all about the experiences we have. What we learn from them and what we can teach others because of them.

How do you describe your style of writing?
My style is contemporary fiction. I take you into the story in a first person atmosphere, developed the story in the foreground, while introducing the characters to you slowly in the back ground. There is always multiple stories and conflicts happening in my pages.

What kind of prerequisites do you think is the most important to write in the Literary/Fiction genre?
I think the most important thing to being a good writer is the passion for it and the stamina to keep going. A great imagination helps, but that can always be developed like any great skill. But passion for the art and endurance keep you writing through the days when you have writer block or start second guessing you story is the most important thing.

How long did you take to write your novel 'Men Are Not the Problem', from the start to the release? What kind of challenges did you encounter along the way?
My first novel, ‘Men Are Not The Problem’ was a labor of love. It took 5 years from start to finish. I rewrote the manuscript 4 times, changed characters, changed story line, and had temper tantrums because I couldn’t find the right word to fit the sentence. I laughed, cried, cursed, gave up and then got back on the computer and kept going. I was like I knew that if I could just get the story out of my head and finish, I could do anything. And now I know I can do anything if I just keep moving forward.

Control, Crazy and about Craziness

{EAV_BLOG_VER:e70f080cae9e1dff}

Gül Baba street, Budapest
Paul from Providence, Rhode Island found an interesting article about Budapest and shared with me over the Facebook yesterday.

I find the author of that article has quite an interesting way of describing Budapest. He introduced the sights to travel with a deep sense of historical references. So I guess for those who wants to sink into the deepness of the changes during those historical years for Budapest, can find back the glorious as well as retro spots to see when they are truly here.

As I continue to read further in the author's blog. He was introducing his latest book which is very exciting to me, just by reading the sypnosis. In his writing, he asked some good questions:

Can you relax if you're not in control?

What will happen if we learn to be really honest with the people in our lives?

And how can an anxious guy learn to loosen up a little and let his hair down?

Nick Thorpe explores these and other predicaments in his writings. It is not like he will write these kind of topics in an intense manner. And these days, Zsolt and I began to appreciate more of such styles which has a certain level of humility.

Gentle humour is certainly a must! Humour has always been a style of writing I personally like and appreciate.

I was trying to explore in answering the questions he asked."Can you relax if you're not in control?" For me, I think perhaps no one living in this busy context could. If you are living in the countryside, perhaps you will learn day by day how to relax. In a city, it's almost impossible.

What will happen if we learn to be really honest with the people in our lives? I think some people will become crazier and the living community will be more stressful than not. Not everybody can take honesty very well. Even though I would think most people would like honest people.

For me, I personally prefer honest people. I hate liars or people who are always blackmailing. It is a psychological problem in my opinion.

And how can an anxious guy learn to loosen up a little and let his hair down? There are many ways and it is all about balancing and moderation. The first is to focus on the correct things that are meant to be yours. Mind your own business. Thinking the worst-case out of situations and scenarios might not help. Not just that it would not keep bad things from happening, it keeps you from enjoying the good things you have in the present.

The first thing to do is tackle your personal need for certainty and your own search for IMMEDIATE answers. For anything, for your life.

Interview with Kurt Lee Hurley

Kurt Lee Hurley is a Celebrity Fitness Trainer, CEO/Owner of Hollywood Fitness Studios, ION Fitness Center and Synergy Fitness Systems. We made a short interview with him.

Kurt_New

As a Celebrity Fitness Trainer and the CEO/Owner of Hollywood Fitness Studios and ION Fitness Center, do you consider conducting One-on-One personal training for a celebrity any different than for people in the public sector?

Absolutely. However, I opened Hollywood Fitness Studios in Provo, Utah specifically to give the same sort of fancy, fine-tuned experience an A-list celebrity would experience in Hollywood. HFS provides anonymity, privacy, personal attention, excellent customer service, education, empowerment and more importantly, the best fitness training, nutrition, motivation and accountability, in addition to the utmost respect and reverence for our clients and customers, all at affordable prices. Celebrities demand these base-line amenities, so should the general public. 100,000 square feet of state-of-the-art equipment will provide you with absolutely nothing. Without having the expertise, knowledge, practices and disciplines necessary to attain a goal. It is an improbability that anyone can or will ever achieve total body transformation for $30 bucks a month. So, for a little more, you not only get the celebrity treatment, you get all the necessary tools to achieve all your fitness goals as well.

How do you begin the consultation/training process for a celebrity who needs Pre or Post Pregnancy training?

Haha… Great question. The peculiar thing is people are people. Fundamentally we are all the same. Which simply means this, be it a rock star, all-star, movie star or average-ordinary- everyday life star, hormones are hormones. The balance or imbalance as it were, must always be addressed first. One cannot change what they first do not understand. So, a full assessment and analysis must take place and then a program is then designed based on the feedback of that analysis and assessment process.

What is the time frame to achieve a desired goal or goals?

Goal achievement is truly based on the individual and the allotted time, as well as the criterion for achieving said goal. A full body transformation can be achieved in 12 weeks, however if lifestyle change is the real goal and not getting in shape for a movie role, then the true goal should always be understanding that your health, wellbeing and vitality is about the journey and not the destination. I have had clients remain with me for in-excess of 10 years. Not because they’ve become disempowered, but because they’ve become empowered. Accountability, purpose and understanding that your health is the single most precious commodity you possess is paramount. Show me an individual that has all the answers about their own health and I will show you a fool.

For the on-site nutritionist, what do you mean by 'all natural supplementation'?

In a word, raw…or organic. Interestingly enough, each day science is discovering “new” nutrients that nature has ironically always provided us through food. A few of these nutrients have been isolated and or synthesized in laboratories and conventional supplements contain them in extremely high doses. However, no one has ever been able to replicate the perfect way nature provides the body with what it needs to sustain a healthy and thriving life...

…until NOW!

Both my formulators, as well as myself understand that nature and only nature holds the keys to maintaining one’s singular health. Our goal is to combine an ideal blend of all the natural super-foods and minerals in the right balance and at natural dosage levels to help the human body to thrive.

These raw organic fruits and vegetables are freeze dried — a process that dehydrates the food without damaging its nutrients. Conventional whole-food supplements often use heat or chemicals to dehydrate their food, which destroys many vital nutrients including vitamin C. By freeze drying the food we are able to maintain most of the nutrients that naturally occur in raw food. Take a look see for yourself at: http://sixpackinsixtybootcamp.blogspot.com/p/supplements.html

We must all make a choice and take a stand. Food of God or food of Man?

Is what you do as much about addressing the emotional, mental and spiritual needs of an individual? Which is what is at the core of your mind-body-success training.

Yes, a sound mind can and will lead to a sound body. I have spent the bulk of my life studying and placing into application both eastern and western practices. Although you won’t find me looking too much like a Guru in any, way, shape or form anytime soon, my sincerest intention is to provide that “wholeness” approach to my practice. Without addressing the heart of the matter, one rarely understands how to go about fixing what is broke. In order to solve any problem, the solution must first always be sought. Focus on problem, attract more problem. Focus on solution, attract solution. Sorry, that was me doing a poor imitation of the wise, Confucius.

What advice would you give to someone who might be considering engaging your services? What kind of preparation(s), if any?

Do the research. Know who and what you are getting involved with. Incidentally, Personal training is now considered a commonplace professional service, especially amongst the affluent, the busy, time-crunched 30 and 40ish population and the post-55 segment. Conversely speaking though, personal trainers are viewed from two entirely different perspectives. People either love them, or they hate them. The vast differences from one trainer to the next are only growing leaps and bounds from one day to the next. The practices, the etiquette, the skill-set, the aptitude, the education, the application, the people skills and the many other facets of a trainer are hardly recognizable at first glance, but when scrutinized more deeply, the differences become painfully obvious.

A fitness professional, or professional fitness trainer is one that easily and effortlessly manages the distinctions of many personality types. They are both interested and interesting. They are engaged and engaging. They possess a certain ability to communicate complex physiological and physical terminology to whomever they are speaking to. They are friendly and they are personable. They are not meatheads, nor are they out of shape. They are not only invested into making a living, they are invested into making a difference. They are not self-absorbed, self centered egomaniacs. They are there for you and your needs, not the opposite. They place value on their craft and so they have placed themselves under scrutiny. They are easily located and not hiding under a rock. Their age is a factor, but only because trust is the name of the game and people typically do not entrust children with something as fragile and vital as their health and well being.

Some questions to ask about your personal trainer:

1. Are they recognized experts in their field?
2. Do they own and operate their business or do they work for a club?
3. Do they have a website or websites that communicate their message?
4. Are they respected in their community?
5. Do they possess similar qualities as a medical or health care professional?
6. Have they appeared in the health or fitness media?
7. Have they authored a book, articles, or been published in industry specific periodicals?
8. Do they train part time, or full time?
9. Do they charge professional fees for professional services?
10. Are they busy practicing their craft, or are they too busy playing their X-box, Playstation or Wii?

You wouldn’t allow an auto mechanic to perform brain surgery on your child, nor would you hire, or employ the services of a child to maintain, manage, or multiply your financial health and well being…now would you?

So, why hire a personal trainer that doesn’t know his head from a hole in the ground?

In Peace & Prosperity,

Kurt Lee Hurley

Progressive Fitness - Interview with Terrell Lambacker

Terrell Lambacker has been working as Personal Trainer for 22 years. He has either been a trainer or manager for several of the major health and fitness companies in the US. He is hosting his own internet radio show called The Progressive Fitness Radio Show on Blogtalk Radio in Antioch, California. We made a short interview with him.

ethnicity-crunch-resized-image-380x250

As a Personal Fitness Trainer yourself, what do you think is the most important value of your training services?

I believe its the accountability I provide my clients. The key to successfully reaching your health and fitness goals is the consistency in which you train. By giving my clients precise workouts that go after the goals in which they presented to me upon beginning this journey and making sure they are consistent in their training regiment makes my value to them immeasurable.

Which are the on-air fitness shows and radio appearances that you have been so far? Which is your favorite and why?

I have been very fortunate in my fitness career to have made appearances on TV and radio programs over the years to be able to talk about proper fitness and health related issues. I was the on air fitness personality for the Weekend Today Show out of New York for about a year. A position I was very proud of. I made appearance once or twice per month to talk about exercises or fitness events happening around town. I also married my assistant who use to help demonstrate exercises on the show while I talked about them to the audience. I also was the lead trainer on a FOOD Network television show called "The Fat Spa Chef Challenge". On that program I trained a prominent chef from a spa in New Mexico and his two friends to see who could lose the most weight. It was an early precursor to The Biggest Loser. I've done local news shows both in New York and San Francisco but I think my favorite was the fitness consumer spot I did for KRON-TV in San Francisco. In that spot I tested fitness products and gave my opinion on them for the fitness consumer. This really allowed me to talk about what worked and what didn't when it came to fitness products, which for me was a blast!

What makes you start on the internet radio show called The Progressive Fitness Radio Show on Blogtalk Radio? Were there any challenges as compared to an on-air appearance?

My wife and I started the internet radio show because we wanted a forum on fitness that was not tied to any gym or health club so we can have an honest dialog about the fitness industry. For the consumer as well as the employee in the fitness industry. We felt with our combined experience in this industry (44 years combined) we have done and seen a lot in fitness and we have our own opinions and insights into fitness and internet radio provides a great platform for us to talk about what we feel fitness is, from the gym members to the personal trainers.
The challenges in putting on your own show are the ones putting on any public presentation would be. You wear all the hats. Content, music, commercials, the whole nine yards. And its all you, its challenging but a really fun thing that my wife and I really enjoy doing.

Based on your experience, what do people generally really want from a personal fitness trainer?

In a word. . . RESULTS. Really that's the bottom line. When a person seeks out a personal trainer, most times its because they have tried on their own to make changes and have failed or not stuck to it. That's where I come in and get them over the hump. I find out what they are capable of and then I push them beyond that. That "beyond" point is where changes to the body take place. That's usually a place that most people are not really able to take themselves or not willing to go on their own. People have an image or idea in their mind about what personal training should be like and I pride myself on delivering on their ideas and exceeding them.

In five years time, what do you foresee the demand for Personal Training being?

I see the demand for good personal training being very big in five years. With health cost, obesity out of control and the general public's thirst for healthier lifestyles growing by the day, the need for good, honest and passionate personal trainers will be in great demand. Personal fitness is leaving the big box gyms and returning to the private training studios, its returning to its roots. The really good personal trainers who worked for the big box gyms see that the corporate owned health clubs and gyms don't really care if their members succeed in getting healthy, they just want "numbers" and member money month after month. Where as the trainer wants to see every member they come in contact with get healthy and get to their fitness goals. And when that trainer starts to become the reason those members are coming to the gym regularly and then the trainer wants to negotiate a better rate of pay for the service level they are providing the gym or health club they then find a reason to get rid of the trainer in order to hire another trainer of lesser skill level because they will work for a much lower rate of pay. Thus losing a valued trainer and giving the fitness member lesser value for the fitness money. Those wonderful and passionate trainers have ventured out and opened their own studios so that they can provide the level of personal fitness training and customer service that the fitness consumer expect and deserve. In five years the big box gyms will be a thing of the past.

Living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands

AMSTERDAM

Amsterdam is so beautiful. I love the architectures, the atmosphere of the capital city, the liveliness of the entire city.

Why? To me, it has a pulse. Which is like a heartbeat of a city. In a very special way, the people living in Amsterdam are easy-going. Much happier. The quality of life is better. One thing is for sure, it is much more expensive to live there.

Designs of the facade of houses in Amsterdam

The first thing to see upon arrival in Amsterdam is the architectures. The houses are so narrow and tall. I tended to be using the portrait orientation of my camera 80% of the time!! :) Well, it was not on intention, but these streets or roads are so narrow. If you want to fit in the whole building within one frame, you will have to keep using portrait.

amsterdam, holland

For there are canals, they are making the environment different. Again, Amsterdam is so special with these moods of the reflections set on the canals. The waters looks dirty (in fact they are). Within the canals, we were even told there is at least one metre of piled up bicycles!! :) It's not imaginable. There are thousands of bicycles (approximately 6000~8000) These are calculating based on the demand on the bicycles parking slots. There was a parking house, solely for the use of three storeys of bicycles! (More about bicycles in the next post.)

Why is it so, that the houses are built so narrowly? We learned that due to the structures requirement in Amsterdam to be built on pilings which are sunk deep into the soft soil, they needed to get extra reinforcement by building in adjacent to one another.

In such a manner, each building is infact 'leaning' on the others in a block.

Material-wise, also because these pilings are made of wood (the muck which it sits in does not allow oxygen to break the wood down). And since not everybody can place their own pilings for their own house. Or better to say, not everyone is good at this piling work, nor the necessary resources to set the pilings deeply. This leaning is thus essential for the entire block. Until one day, their government started to take over this piling task and set taxes to cover the costs incurred.

This taxation was in fact the reason that made them designed narrow but long houses. They were taxed on how wide the house was! As clever as the government can get, the architects build the highest, longest and narrowest houses as best as they could :)

Amsterdam

And as for the hook, you can spot them on the tallest point of the house. They are for easy moving of large items such as pianos etc since their stairs are narrow and steep. It is another interesting feature of the houses in Amsterdam. So that is also why they have very large windows to compensate it all! :)

amsterdam, holland

Amsterdam is generally clean and neat. It reflects a certain level of living standards they generally expect and embrace. The houses there are called 'luxury houses'. And I can imagine why they said so as the rental is at the minimum 1200 Euros per month.

amsterdam

To have a garden or lawn is like a luxury. Also, most of them have more than one bicycle. Again, the bicycle topic deserves an entire post on itself!

neighbours . amsterdam

For some reason, I like this photo very much. In one shot, you can see a lot of details about how different one neighbour right next to the other can be! On the other hand, such details seemed to be blended in when you look at them in a row, they looked really neat.

EUPHEMIA 1908 | BOAT HOUSE in amsterdam

The other highlight is of course the boat houses. Euphemia 1908 is one of the boat houses on the canals and it is just one of the many.

amsterdam, holland

They loved brightly coloured flowers or otherwise very neat ones and you can spot most of their homes are decorated with flowers. The Netherlands also has a very mild summer and a mild winter. So they can afford to raise Hydrangeas which are so beautiful to see them all in bushes! The indoor flower they also like is the orchids, in particular, Phalaenopsis :)

Why did it seemed Amsterdam has all the kind of flowers that I love?:) Tulips, Hydrangeas and now Phalaenopsis!!

amsterdam, holland

Can you imagine living in a boat house like this?

Happy 46th National Day Celebration of Singapore: Majulah!

Today is the 46th National Day Celebration of Singapore, it is also a new beginning for Singapore.

2011 Singapore National Day Rehearsal

On every 9th August, Singaporeans celebrate this day with watching lots of fireworks and a national program on the TV being broadcasted. This year's celebration is better than ever before. Although I am living in Budapest (Hungary) with my husband over the past three national days, this year is the first year which I managed to watch the National Day Parade (NDP) celebration 'live'.

On my Macbook. I am feeling very glad because for the previous years, I tried to watch it online but for some reason, due to the bandwidth, or due to some technical constraints, due to many unforeseeable factors, they either do not serve this region in Europe, or after I have installed the necessary plugins, a message popped up saying that there is a connection problem.

How can this be? I was angry whenever it is promised that on Internet we can watch it 'live' but didn't materialised. Even watching it together with everyone in Singapore or overseas means something. Isn't it so for a special day like its National Day? For a forward looking city nation as small as Singapore, we do not expect our day spoiled just because of the limitations of the bandwidth, or the Internet speed etc. Fortunately, this year was different, read the comments on FaceBook thread about the NDP11 that had just finished about half an hour ago:-

The overall comments was good. These people who feedback are REAL people! At least we are on the 'same page'. And this is important.

The Singapore's NDP theme this year is not just about racial harmony like the previous years. It has somehow been set as an important foundation before we even look further. The emphasis NOW is more about being together 'as one'.

In a heartbeat. It is not that easy. Singapore is always such an ambitious little lion city. The messaging behind the musical-styled NDP celebration is clearly instilling the belief that it is possible. Most of us do like the 'Mother and Son' concept; although in musical format might have made it sounded cheesy. Overall it did delivered the idea of 'ties'. Of the bond you have with your origination.

'Mother' being the symbol of the first generation of the Singaporeans. Our forefathers who strived to build what we see today, Singapore. From a fishing village, it is how amazing 46 years can develop and has made us progress to what we SEE today - those skyscrapers are the symbols of the existence of our progress. The culture within the entire community.

'Son' being the present generation of people living in Singapore. These concepts are rather simple even if you are a foreigner, a white European or American, an ethnic Indian or Chinese. It is not segregation by skin colour or language or race. You know you have a responsibility being part of this living community. To recognize that you have an important role to play, to pass on the SPIRIT to your future generations. To appreciate what our forefathers had done.

It also has a lot of elements of encouragement. We are reminded that life is a journey, so it is not always a bed of roses. We are prepared that there will be difficult times. Albeit such hard moments, you are reminded what is the correct thoughts to behold. Majulah! That's the way what everyone wants. And if this goal is consistent, then we can ALL move forward more swiftly with less resistance.

Majulah!

Majulah! is a malay word which means 'Onward'. And moving forward, we should all progress together and think together as one, in a heartbeat.

In a certain mood, I like how Singapore has progressed. The bird's eye view of how it looked in the night skyline - it was to me, very beautiful! Most importantly, it is very REAL. It is not daydreaming that a fishing village can become what it is of today. It is many generations of working hard together, the sacrifice.

2011 Singapore 46th National Day

Finally, it was very inspiring to see our pledge being respected and said altogether with so much pride during the celebration at Marina Bay Floating Platform. I sincerely wish every Singaporeans a Happy National Day and better progress! Majulah!
