The Amazing Kindle Review

A few weeks ago, Imre was happily sharing with me about an order that he placed. I asked him what was it that he had ordered and he said it was the Amazon Kindle. At first, I didn't know what it was, but vaguely as we were talking about reading the Chinese textbook in pdf format, he said that this Kindle will be the best gadget for reading ebooks including pdf format.

Finally it arrived and he gladly showed it to me during his Chinese lesson. Imre said that the uniqueness about Kindle is its E Ink Pearl technology. Besides getting fifty percent better contrast, there is no glare. So it means you can even read in the bright sunlight. If you are getting the latest 3G WIFI version, you can get to see newer, darker and improved fonts.

After seeing the actual product, all Thanks to Imre, I found this article and I must agree with this unbiased review, the fact that Kindle is really a great eBook Reader. The pros and cons are all conclusive.

To own one lightweight and easy to hold gadget that can carry up to 4GB of books (that is like an equivalent of 3500 books, the thought in itself) is just amazing. The other goodness about Kindle is its long battery life. Most of all, a lot of buyers of the Kindle finds its price very affordable.

The only setback I think for the Kindle is, it is not a touchscreen device. Being an iPhone smartphone user for three years, makes me feel that the Kindle will be so much better if it has the touchscreen feature.

An Authentic Hungarian Garden Party

Had one of the most authentic Hungarian garden party at Kriszta's place. Very hospitable host and hostess, and a very intimate garden. We spent a great time for the evening with lots of good food, outdoor cooking of a very Hungarian beef stew, Casinotojas salad, Nokedli, homemade pogácsa is a type of savory scone - Hungarian pork crackling scone. A really great way to spend a summer time, chilling in the nature.

From Jo étvágyat! to egészségedre!

"Jo étvágyat!" means "Good appetite" while, 'egészségedre!' means "to your health". These are two basic Hungarian interjections. When somebody sneezes, 'egészségedre!' would mean 'bless you'. These are the nice manners of the Hungarian people. At the dinner table, when you want to say 'Cheers!' in Hungarian, it is 'egészségedre!' :)

A rare moment of the Road trip

The road trip to Ljubljana and Zagreb started. We crossed the Elizabeth Bridge in Budapest. This moment was unusual. See the alignment of the forthcoming and ongoing vehicles? Amazing, huh?:)

Considering the modes of transportation to get to the nearby cities from Budapest, we tried many different options. To us, we feel the road trip can allow one to see more by car than by airplanes. The train is the second preference, sometimes, it takes the first place depending on the distance to travel.

If by driving 3-4 hours and you can get to the next city, it is worth driving.

The problem with traveling by air is the queues and security checks. The most of all is the time wasted waiting.

It could have been faster, let's say 1 hour by flight (and 3 hours by car), but the entire pleasurable experience of traveling is diminished. A simple train ride allows you to at least walk or even stand for short breaks, the airplane doesn't provide this 'simple freedom' - even the air and smells within airports or airplane is not the same.

See the other nearby cities from Budapest.

Mickey Mikeworth about prosperity

Mickey Mikeworth is a public speaker that talks about prosperity. We made a short interview with her:

speaking_BIGfile

What are the special and unique approaches you take to reach people you are speaking to?
I love to laugh! Many of the topics I teach on are really tough subjects and very personal and I find that laughter makes it so that everyone can relax, let down their resistance to change, and pick up some new ideas. I choose concrete fact based information, add in a few funny stories, add in my personal insight from working with women and teenagers on this topic for the last 13 years and give people solid strategies on how they can create their own change by using a prosperity mindset.

How did you first get started into the public speaking career?
I have been a speaker and a en educator for a over 26 years. I started on a stage a lifetime ago teaching advanced hair coloring with Intercoiffure and Altobella, then AIDS came and I dedicated ten years to public health and moved into teaching sexual health in third world counties and doing aids research. I packed up my family moved to Brazil and I wrote my theses on Women with Aids in Brazil.
When I came back to the USA,  I connected the dots and found that money and the issues around it could be addressed at a faster rate in solving the questions of how to end poverty if a public health model of preventative care was added to outreach on the topic of Money.  In 1998 I started working with women and inner city youth teaching financial education and started two companies.
Now I have dedicated this next ten years to speaking about prosperity and the defined actions that people can to do to create opportunity even when resources seem scant. I like teaching prosperity because it applies to every economic level, every religion, every country and every person.
What all those stages in my speaking career have in common is that I have had a great chance to travel all over the globe and deliver some life changing information. I feel I am the most prepared I have ever been to help others connect their own patterns of change.

What inspires you?
Talent! There is never a day that I am not awestruck by artistry and the multitude of ways that people create their own art. I like it all- writing, music, painting, food, architecture, the list is limitless.
Everyone can learn a lot about life by watching people create and allowing themselves to open their mind to the many types or artistry. I just met an ice-cream artisan and tasted wasabi ice-cream that was mind-blowing!
I also met a man whose artistry was dedicating his entire adult life to feeding the elderly. He made his pledge to change the world in his own way right after World War II and he is now 89 and still delivering healthy food to those in need sixty six years later! That is inspiration!.

What are the misconceptions that people have about prosperity?
Many people understand prosperity only at an intellectual level it is acting within a prosperity mindset and the actions that people need take often takes additional training.
Some of those prosperity concepts are learning to solve problem differently, all work has meaning and energy, and that many of the resources we need in this age are regenerative and NOT a scarce commodity. An example of this would be the need for every company to innovate and the ability to pool minds together to create new ideas. Give people a platform to share and they will.

If you have 1 minute to speak about prosperity, what will be the essence of your speech?
Here is my message in a nutshell: the way you solve a problem in your head will decide how much wealth and resources you will have access to and have the privilege to use/own in your lifetime.
Prosperity is an action word. It moves and it has dance and rhythm that is catchy.  The point of prosperity is to regenerate not just itself but also to propagate others and become larger. When prosperity is managed and directed it can grow opportunity millions.

Don’t believe me look at a little invention called the internet.

Life is full of flavor- just take a bite!

Behind the making of these Sushi

Zannnie made this and I absolutely enjoyed the sushi she made. It may not look perfect like those you find in the sushi restaurant, but believe me, they are delicious.

Behind the making of these sushi are this packet of Sushi Rice:-

sushi rizs (rizs=rice)

They are from the large market called Central Market Hall (Nagy Vasarcsarnok) in Budapest at the IX. kerület, Vámház krt. 1-3.

Zannnie likes to visit the spice shop located on the basement. It has one of the biggest selection of asian spices in Budapest. You can find wasabi there too.

The strange thing about the place is, they are selling the Japanese mayonnaise at a very steep price. Some other items are 30 to 50% more expensive, but there are expats friends of ours that told us it is not as expensive as buying them in western Europe.

Are you planning to make some sushi too? :)

Here's a video about how you can make 'Inside out' California sushi to share. For more, Delish Recipes.

Sounds On Fire - interview

We made a short interview with The Australian music group Sounds On Fire:

What are the kind of inspirations that 'Sounds On Fire's music are drawn from?

Life. We get a glimpse of something that we can witness with our eyes/ears or otherwise, and connect it to something in our mind. This is when we know the time to make music is here. Something as simple as an observervation, or a dream.
..and there is the other side of our music, which are drawn from ideas that we can't explain, and the message is so powerful that we need to convert it into art.

What are some of your best music which your group has created since your first album release?

Which ever was our most recent [laughs]. To flip the question, there are a few tracks which we choose not to look back on, for professional reasons. But everything we can recall, we love as our best music.
True, we have had some pieces which have gathered more positive responses, or forward momentum.. But at the end of the day, art is art; eh?

What kind of impact has your music made to the generation of Rap / Hip Hop music lovers?

The seemingly insignificant. That's where we love the gigantic impact we make. Like our song 'Paint it Red', and the next day our friend painted his car red.. FRESH!
Numerous "little" impacts mean the world to us. Who knows what the world around us would be like without our music...?
All we know is; the world around us is beautiful and our music is in it. So one goes with the other. HUGE.

How does Australian Underground Rap / Hip Hop music differ or similar to the generic Rap Hip-Hop music?

We have no fans down here [lots of laughter]! We do whatever, noone gives too much notice to us and we keep on doing what we do. This means we can evolve our art away from the mainstream and external influences. Of course we give props to generic Rap and Hip-Hop musicians; they don't have much of an influence on our music though (our lives, a different story).
To match Australian Underground with the Underground of the world, perfect match. Noone gives attention to the underdog types.
Loving the question's mention of generic Rap! We'll leave the comments cold, as those rappers keep away from our art.

Why did you name your group as 'Sounds On Fire' ?

Sounds On Fire has always been around since Cavemen discovered a spark and banged rocks together to make rhythm. We jumped on the name because it is still very relevant today, to today's music interacters.
If something is in the fire, we bring it out for the world to see. We bring it out through music, sounds, and bring them above the heat.
The Sounds are On top of the Fire.

Sincere thanks for the chance to answer your interview. We hope anyone from everywhere understands our viewpoint on this. We've been passionate about our recordings since 2000. We invite everyone to connect with us. Facebook us, download our music. Our music.

Price of Gold

Liquid investment such as gold as we know allows you an immediate access to buy or sell. Two weeks ago, I read news about George Soros, the Hungarian-American notable philanthropist, selling a majority of his gold. For others who disagrees, it seemed it is the best time to buy gold expecting the price of gold to reach a real high. No one knows for sure when it will become the ultimate highest point. It seemed the market is speculating that it will be an ultimate bubble at the rate it goes higher and higher.

Of course, before you put your foot down on any gold investments, you can easily obtain the free Gold guide for Investors upon a simple request from Gold Coins Gain. Collectors who wants to partly invest in his own collections can choose Gold Bullion and Gold Coins from $2.5 Liberty Quarter Eagle designed by Christian Gobrecht or $20 Saint Gaudens Double Eagle. There are also others, such as Gold American Eagle, Gold South African Krugerrand, Gold Canadian Maple Leaf, American Buffalo, Australian Gold Nugget, Austrian Gold Philharmonic or even the Chinese Gold Panda.

Yet gold enthusiasts such as Nick Barisheff suggested gold as a safe padding for paper currencies and inflation. It is a better inflation hedge than inflation-linked bonds.

If you are interested, you are recommended to read gold news, and to find out how to place gold in your IRA or 401K rollover. The economic conditions at present is important part of the assessment. You must cleverly assess the gold fundamentals and economic events from the worlds top analysts.

Tori Amos, Simply My Favourite Voice

There are just some kind of voices that are special to my ears, someone like Tori Amos has this special place in my heart. She would be someone I would want to see in a live concert, just watching her sing.

Unplugged.

Airplanes
Take you away again
Are you flying
Above where we live
Then I look up a glare in my eyes
Are you having regrets about last night
I'm not but I like rivers that rush in
So then I dove in
Is there trouble ahead
For you the acrobat
I won't push you unless you have a net

You say the word
You know I will find you
Or if you need some time
I don't mind
I don't hold on
To the tail of your kite
I'm not like the girls that you've known
But I believe I'm worth coming home to
Kiss away night
This girl only sleeps with butterflies
With butterflies
So go on and fly then boy

Balloons
Look good from on the ground
I fear with pins and needles around
We may fall then stumble
Upon a carousel
It could take us anywhere

I'm not like the girls that you've known
But I believe I'm worth coming home to
Kiss away night
This girl only sleeps with butterflies
With butterflies
With butterflies
So go on and fly boy

Tori Amos
