Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge.

Catherine Middleton and Prince William revived that 'fairy tales feeling' all over again. The Royal Wedding on the CNN has seemed to be one of the biggest media event than ever before. Two million people were watching it 'LIVE', altogether - even on the North Pole.

On a royal carriage, this global wedding affair, a handsome groom, a beautiful bride, ardent soldiers and a huge mass of glorified people.

And we surely needed these new tales of joy, to give the impression that the world is beautiful and joyful as in any other fairy tales about wonderful people who, at the end of the tale should get a rightful conclusion.

The Brits had made what you can see of today and you can be made to believe in these tales - having said that, I presume no one can perform this role better. It was a touching event yet an opportunity for all the relevant industries surround this love story.

Prince William and Kate Middleton Marry at Westminster, Kiss at the Palace
Here we called it the removal of the seven skins. The media has since their engagement announcement, been replaying all that is about to happen on this day. Thousands and hundreds of Youtube videos, youtube channels, blog entries (including this post, the second on this blog), tweets on the twitter, Facebook pages, updates in the fashion online magazines, endless. It all strengthen the public image of the United Kingdom as a land of tradition. It would have been a difficult time for a republican in Britain today as it is a living proof about why they would need to finance the Royal Family. For it is that, they became the most expensive yet the most effective Public Relations agents of their country. And today, it gave me the feeling that all that was lost in this Empire are existing and represented by the Royal Family.

No doubt.

In the headlines and front pages of the fashion magazines shall be that of the hats and dresses you saw today. Demands on a wedding dress by Sarah Burton, those laces, that veil. Kate Middleton and her dress sense and styles will be much appreciated. Every kind of possible analysis will be made to each single button, just like the carriages, the horses, the flowers, the car decorations...you name it - That was what hype is all about. Economically, this event will generate a positive balance nonetheless. If you were to calculate with the lost working day, the net sum will be positive if you include the growing reputation of the United Kingdom.

I do agree, I enjoy watching this, and I support all of these.

The Royal Family's addition of this new family member has marked a very romantic, wonderful symbol, a reality version of the Disney fairy tales. The horsemen in the military uniforms looks exactly like the edible Marzipan miniatures on a cake without the threatening power. A day like this has given this woman, newer responsibilities as she is now, Her Royal Highness Princess William Arthur Philip Louis, Duchess of Cambridge, Countess of Strathearn, Baroness Carrickfergus.

Why is President Obama not invited to the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton?

Tomorrow is the big day. The Royal Wedding. A wedding that has received much attention.

Intrigued.

Are you still intrigued?

Well, you are not the only one. Many people are still speculating the reasons why aren't the Obamas been invited to the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

It's funny how the First Lady Michelle Obama was so casual in her reply in this video interview. She said 'It's a family matter'. Anyway, IT REALLY is! Besides, it is a royal family matter. They have all the rights to invite whoever they want. That's why it is even a family private decision, even more so Prince William's as well as the bride-to-be's. For an important day like this in your life, if you cannot even have the full rights to decide who you will be inviting, then it is not yours anyway.

We are already in 2011, yet many people still do not have the courtesy to respect people's privacy. There are a lot of bad press about the handling of this thick white invitation that was stamped with the 'EIIR' in gold. They even called it the 'golden ticket'.

Some said the Brits are racist. Or even refer and brought back Obama's deplorable manners in his previous visit to the Queen. Some non 'royal friends' who are invited also received comments; the sarcasm is still directed at the Obamas. The Queen has personally invited forty crowned heads, from the Sultans, the Crown Princes, the Kings to the Emperor. All received the golden ticket.

Why people still doubt the relations between the US and the UK?

Gorgonzola - The veined Italian Blue Cheese

Gorgonzola the italian blue cheese

When we visited the Zorbas taverna greek restaurant in the downtown near Podmaniczky Street some weeks ago, I figured that Zsolt and I actually like the Blue Cheese. It was kind of a surprise, as one of the cream soup made with this cheese was incredibly delicious.

So first is its flavour. It has a distinct flavour due to the cultivated bacteria. It is crumbly to the cut. Quite salty, so when I made the Blue Cheese Garlic Cream Soup with the Hungarian tejfol (sour cream) today, I needn't add any salt. Its buttery pure form with the greenish-blue marbling just gives off a strong smell which some people described it as stinky. This special cheese is now protected under the Italian law. It enjoys a Protected Geographical Status (PGS). The origins of Gorgonzola is in the province of Milan (part of Lombardy) northern Italy.

So don't be mistaken and under-estimate this disgusting looking blue cheese. It is a delish! I really like when a dish can be made with real good ingredients. So this cream soup is so authentic because of the blue cheese, because of the garlic and the sour cream, that's it. The next time, I will try the most appreciated dish: Pasta (penne, rigatoni, mezze maniche or sedani) with gorgonzola, or even, on pizza as a topping. One fine day, I shall also make the pizza ai quattro formaggi.

Zagreb - Statue of Ban Jelačić

In Croatia's capital city, the most recognizable icon is this man on the horse statue in the square.

This man is ban Josip Jelačić and he is on the horse with a posture of holding the sword pointing at a certain direction. This spot where you see this Jelačić plac (n.b. plac is derived from Platz, the German word for square or plaza) or Trg means "the square") is directly south of the Dolac market.

Statue of a traditional Croatian woman balances a basket on her head at Dolac Market

You will like the Dolac market which is conveniently located right in the Zagreb Downtown pedestrian zone. The transportation including public trams are for free if you are just riding within the square. Unlike in Budapest, you have to pay be it tram, metro or trolleys.

Back to the sword direction. Originally, this sword was pointing north towards Hungary. Then under the Communist rule in 1947, it was removed and reinstalled facing south in 1990. Therefore, now if you see it in Zagreb, it is pointing towards the direction of Serbia.

Twins

I have a pair of twin nieces. I remembered when they were just newborn, they were such cute small adorable babies. They were an overwhelming joy to the family. However, twin babies can be very demanding, but they are sweet burdens.

Hungarian Twins Beautiful girl :  Eszter

I have observed some differences between them, despite they are twins, they are not totally identical.

Eszter is a few seconds younger than Anna. Features-wise, they looked totally different, so they are non-identical twins.

Two very prominent differences are their eye colour and hair colour. ONe is a blonde and the other is a 'brown'. Can you guess who is Eszter and who is Anna? :)

Hungarian Twins Jovial girl: Anna

Eszter has blue eyes like my mother. My sister also has blue eyes. While Anna is like her father, with brown eyes and brown hair. She has sparkling brown eyes and Anna is always jovial.

Since Eszter was a toddler, she speaks a lot, I mean endlessly :)
She says very funny cute things, and makes my sister laugh a lot. One day, my sister stated to collect all these funny speeches made by Eszter. In my view, they are natural 'healers', at the end of the day, just being with them is a natural form of relaxation.

With one youngest  son who joined shortly after the twins, makes the entire family seemed like a nursery. All children needs attention, and it is only fair if they get relevant amount of attention.

These days, a road trip even from one part of Hungary to the other, just to visit their great grandmother can be a real challenge. Hard to get them to sit still in the car journey without a little fight.

Merlin

Have you been to the Merlin Theatre in Budapest?

If you have been there, you will agree that it has a special ambience. Besides, there are many photo opportunities, one of which even in the dimness, is this segment of the spiral stairways. It leads up tot the theatre and a pub gathering area with high chairs.

The Hungarian 'Big Brother' - Való Világ

In the Hungarian version of the 'Big Brother' (Való Világ), Gigi one of the 'housemates' has been voted out of the villa. Leaving Alekosz, Aniko, Beci, Jerzy, Laci and Eva. Eva will have immunity this week, so amongst the other five, I think likely Laci will be voted out next.
[14/365]

Valo Vilag is an adaptation of the American 'Big Brother' and these five remaining 'housemates' are confined to a villa with many hidden cameras. In all the available spaces in the villa, from the suana room, kitchen, jacuzzi, bathroom, pool and lawn area. The rules they must abide is to carry the microphones at all times, otherwise, it is important that they observe the rule of strictly no violence. They do not tolerate violent behaviour of the housemates.

If you have seen the original Big Brother, you would notice a slight modification of this Hungarian fourth season (VV4). Sometimes, they are permitted contacts with the outside world, so it means they are not totally confined. For example, some of the members are chosen to celebrate the Valentines' Day with their loved one. It gives the opportunity for advertisers that seized this seasonal period to advertise their products or services. So this is where the commercialization of this TV reality series entail. Weeks before the Valentines' day, the sponsors were already advertising themselves by an irresistible offer for the 'love birds' in the program to a helicopter ride. They were on the way to a luxurious thermal spa hotel in Hungary. Everyone knows Hungary is a 'spa' central, so it is quite a good way to differentiate itself from the other spa operators.

Of course, such rare opportunities and special entitlement created jealousy and frictions between the housemates too. This is one of the challenges and the housemates are constantly challenged with new gimmicks. Just recently the military and fear factor jungle series are totally boring and totally inappropriate. It showed a lot of shallowness in their creative team.

In a reality show like this kind, a good strategy which the housemates can adopt is 'becoming a couple'. Indeed because this is exactly what audience likes to watch and see between people. So in a way, the 'couple stayed' until last week when Gigi is voted out.

Valo Vilag means 'real world' literally. It wasn't a really popular reality program for most Hungarians as it is to them 'only stupid' people watch them and 'shallow people' participates in such program. Forgoing their privacy is absolute. Some how or rather, Valo Vilag has been rated as Hungary's most popular reality show. It boasts of 2.06 million viewers everyday.

To win 12 million HUF (Hungarian Forint) over a year, this is the winner's prize. It is like 1 million Forint per month salary. And other than this prize, he/she will win an ownership of a house - it's lifetime! To top it off, there will be a car. Now it marked the 133rd day.

Impact of Travel

budapest new airport, travel

Travel is a great way to inject new energy into your life. Living in the city all my life, I enjoy being able to travel every once in a while. Recently I have been traveling more regularly. Not always the same destinations, and this is one great pleasure about traveling.

Sometimes, traveling alone can be rather lonely. I prefer to travel with someone. In my younger days, I travel alot by myself. After marriage, I prefer to travel together with my husband.

I like that travel can widen ones' horizon, allowing one to experience different cultures, different languages and customs of the destination. Be it for business or just for leisure, there is bound to have a change in some ways. One of the main changes is the language. Sometimes, even going to the rural areas, the countryside and villages, the suburbs, or switching to another city has a distinct language difference. As small an observation as the accent of the language, even lifestyle of the people, may be quite different. You may get culture shock or good experiences, it all depends on how you view it.

Little changes enables one to adapt better whenever you are at a new place. For me, I am quite adaptable. There is one thing I normally do not like to do: that is to squeeze all sights to explore in one short trip. I am not that ambitious type, because I love to enjoy at my pace the pace and thus it is always therapeutic to travel. Joining the tour groups is also not my cup of tea. If I remember well, I have only done that once in my life. It was my first travel to Brisbane (Australia) with my aunt.

Being at a new destination has an educational benefit, in fact more than one. Usually I learn more about the region's history, its geography and sometimes even learning about your self. A trip with many activities also let you learn new skills and experiences such as rafting, surfing or swimming together with the dolphins. A simple joy is to listen to the new sounds of the spoken language of the destination. This foreign touch can be very interesting.

In comparison, when you travel, it encompasses the amount of physical activity that is usually more than being in your home country. For example, you tend to walk more than usual. The amount of natural sunshine and chances to breath in fresh air is also enhanced.

Besides, you get to taste a different cuisine in a different country. Gastronomic delicacies are one of the appreciation and experiences other than the culture exchange that I like very much. It helps to instill a new perspective and attitudes. When you are socializing with the people in the other culture, you also learn something more than words can ever describe. All in all, travel offers a lot of health benefits. Even more so when traveling with your spouse which generates more quality time spent together.

TGV train ride to Strasbourg from Munich

The first time when we tried the TGV train, we crossed Germany. From Budapest, you can easily get to Strasbourg by train. Here is one of the train stops and for us, we met a German couple at the Stuttgart (southern Germany). This couple came directly to the reserved seats which they had made. It was next to ours. They had a hound (dog), a very beautiful black tall hound with a small head and small ears. She had a leather collar which is bright red and made her looked really smart in it.

The German lady owner of the hound said that it is very shy and afraid in fact.

To be honest, I understood exactly how it was for the hound. Momo (our Bishon Havanese) is the same scared and unease on when he is onboard of the trams. Especially the Yellow Line tram carts which are rather old (Budapest has the oldest train system in Europe). Solely the sound and movement are enough to make Momo's little heart beats faster...

Innovative Media Publishing - interview

Craig Lingard is the owner of an innovative marketing business and also a publisher in the United Kingdom. We made a short interiew with him:

web-design

What is your specialization in the Internet arena?

My two marketing companies WebDesignNewquay.co.uk and InnovateMediaPublishing.com specialize in helping website owners get their site found in the search engines and on mobile devices. This involves SEO and various marketing strategies which establish lead generation.

I'm also developing online training classrooms and show people how to use the internet to gain more business or work from home. That's why I have set up MyWordpressClassroom.com and MyWebDesignClassroom.com. These two sites are full of step by step video tutorials that show people exactly what to do to make a success of it online. I'm currently developing MyMobileMarketingClassroom.com and I plan to develop a couple dozen other classrooms focusing on other areas such as mailing lists, membership sites, targeted traffic and social marketing.

Are you able to share with us one of your success stories based on your portfolio?

A local electrician came to me with his website that he had been trying to rank for months. He was on page 25 when I started work on a new site for him. Using my tried and tested methods I had the new site listed on the front page of Google within a couple of weeks. He now holds the number one Google Places position and the number one organic positions on Google and Yahoo. He also totally dominates the Google and Bing video search engines.

I follow a four stage plan which starts with a keyword and competition research phase. This is pretty in depth but it is the most important stage and is the 'crux' of the whole marketing strategy. Stage two is basically the design phase where we build and website framework and set up the various components of our system. Stage three is the implementation of the marketing strategy. This is fun because we incorporate video marketing, press releases and begin the social marketing campaign. Stage four is the analytical and maintenance phase. We're often considered quite 'geeky' as we pour over metrics and results, optimize and tweak the campaigns.

How are you different from your competitors in the same field?

When it comes to working with my consulting clients I don't charge set web design fees of $1000 to $15,000 per site and $3000 monthly marketing fees or whatever. I work with my clients for a modest monthly retainer. When the business starts to see a healthy return on investment then I am rewarded by a client that is supremely happy with the increase in business that I have initiated.

It's all about over-delivering. Giving true value for money. In the case of my online classrooms, they are packed full of tutorials. For example, MyWordpressClassroom has more than 80 videos and MyWebDesignClassroom has 90! For the miniscule membership fee, that adds up to a whole lot of value for the member. I'm not interested in charging the industry standard $27, $47 or $97 per month for membership. All internet marketing information is available on the internet anyway so why rip people off with extorionate fees. I believe in collating all the information into one place and charging a modest access fee that everyone can afford. An internet education for the price of a pizza!

Why should small business owners who desire new customers work with you and your company?

Small business owners need to look at the costs of acquiring new customers. Traditional advertising is no longer working. The future is internet lead generation and mobile marketing. By choosing to work with me, a client has a highly skilled and experienced new member of his team dedicated to developing his business online. The client gets a dedicated team member whose sole purpose is to bring in new customers. Imagine having your own tech marketing team?

How can clients find out if your services are relevant for their business(es)?

I'm always open to talking with new potential clients and I'm happy to take calls and visit them prior to agreeing any work. I like to analyse their position in regard to their current website and marketing strategy. I don't charge for this because it allows me to observe their position and commitment to online marketing. If I feel I can't be of any help or that the client doesn't really need someone with my particular set of skills then I'll say so after conducting this initial analysis.

If I feel there is an opportunity for both myself and the client to add value then I will draw up a proposal and run it by them. Of course, my testimonials speak for themselves and are readily available for all clients. I'm available at any of the websites mentioned here, my blog at www.craiglingard.com or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/craiglingard

For the coming three to five years, what do you foresee a basic minimum for small medium enterprises in order to stand out and compete in the Internet age?

Old static brochure websites are 'dead'. A dynamic, 'blog' type website that is regularly updated is a bare minimum now but successful sites will incorporate social media and have a mobile version as standard. The site should be used as a lead generation tool so optin forms must be utilized. Of course this also means that an email marketing campaign must be incorporated. I believe some businesses will use Facebook as their main lead gathering and promotional tool. Social Media is here to stay.

From Budapest to Vienna

Vienna Christmas Market

The difference is, we were there during the christmas season. Vienna is a short drive from Budapest, some say it's a 'short jump', so it is great for a weekend visit. From mid-November through Christmas time, this is an extremely popular place to visit.

In Vienna, one of the spots where culture meets kitsch is the MQ Point, better known as MuseumsQuartier. 'Now or Never', serious art with offbeat humour, imaginative products, museum tickets and the list goes on. Lovely traditional roly poly dolls like these:

Vienna MQ Point
'Never-fall doll' or call it the tumbler toys, these are classic items that are still on display.

This is more than just a run-of-the-mill museum shop. Why? It's because it stocks absolutely cool design and unconventional gift items. From bags, mugs, T-shirts, buttons with fun messages. If you are there on Fridays, there is a 'fashion Friday' where a designer of the month has been picked to have his/her product marketed at an affordable price. What you see as a result is an exciting cross-section of the International and Austrian design scenes.

MQ-Point is at 7., Museumsplatz 1 www.mqw.at

Waffeln

Vienna during the Christmas is totally fun. The public squares being transformed into festive markets - hundreds of booths, gifts and goodies, genuine Austrian wooden hand crafts, choose from a wide variety of cookies, savor special Austrian punch and many gifts choices are there for you to select from. The City Hall Square turned into a magical wonderland, a Christmas Wonderland!

That's Zannnie trying the Waffeln

The simple joy of just strolling are totally romantic for couples. Great Christmas decorations: giant 40 foot Advent wreath prominently displayed centrally, trees in the Rathauspark twinkled with festive lights - wow, that was just beautiful!

A not to be missed is the christmas village at Maria-Theresien-Platz. It is nestled between Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Museum of Natural History. Here you will see lots of stands which offers original gift ideas and items, some traditional ones while others are handcrafted wares. In the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) is the Advent meeting point, it is especially popular amongst the young people.

Wein

Old Viennese Christmas Market at Freyung is for the traditional and been there since 1772. Glass decorations, ceramics, cribs, you name it, you can hear festive Advent christmas music ringing out on the square from 4pm.

For a touch of culture, you must also check out the atmospheric Christmas market in the Ehrenhof at Schönbrunn Palace where it offers Christmas romance in front of an imperial backdrop. Traditional handicrafts, rustic Christmas decorations and hand-made jewelry as well as a diverse children's program and a crib exhibition. For an imperial ambience, then check out the Christmas market in front of the Belvedere.

Those who like a more comtemplative affair, you will like the Karlsplatz christmas market. Again, a wide range of handicrafts are offer. Otherwise, see the idyllic little lanes at the Spittelberg. Endless discoveries!

Denim leather case for iPad - Texas Blade by Andino

Andino had some interesting Denim iPad Leather Cases. Given a choice, which would you pick for your girlfriend or wife? For my wife, I will pick the fashionable and sleek looking denim cases. Some people like to have a classy style other than exuding confidence and a forward-looking statement.

If you are adventurous enough, you can get all the different colours! To have a rugged look, the denim jeans material and texture suits a casual style. Great match to compliment a jeans and T-shirt Saturday or Sunday, if you just want to play on your iPad on the new applications and games downloaded.

Limitless: Robert DeNiro, Bradley Cooper

If you have not seen the movie 'Limitless', I highly recommend you to watch it. This is a movie with main casts Bradley Cooper and Robert DeNiro and they both acted very well. Besides, the storyline is interestingly about a new yet untested drug called 'NZT'.

Spoiler's Alert!

The story is about a writer with a chronic writer's block problem. His name is Eddie Morra and his pain stops when he accidently met his ex-wife's brother.

This guy is more like a drug dealer, and he introduces him to the revoluntionary NZT which could allow the user to optimize the usage of his brain to 100% of its potential.

There are some graphics and moments in the film about the amazing effects of this drug, working on his every synapse. It is a fantasy for some but this drug could make him recall EVERYTHING that he has ever seen, ever read or heard.

As such, he could learn any language within a day. He can understand complex mathematical equations. With this ability, he was able to impress anyone he meets.
There are no problems except that, the user must constantly take the drug. Like any other drug in the whole wide world, there are side effects. The ones on NZT are totally brutal that makes it different.

This movie's genre is Mystery & Suspense, Science Fiction & Fantasy, so naturally you see lots of stalkers following him, gangsters' fights, police investigations. There are some grostesque scenes though I must warn you. Not the one about the Russian using the needle to inject the drug into his bloodstream. However, closer to this scene was making the audience anticipates that he will drink the Russian's blood which is barbaric for most.

The best part of the movie was when Bradley Cooper said to Robert DeNiro that he could see every scenario. He was able to see 50 scenarios ahead of Robert De Niro, and that's what it does. That part was absolutely amazing!

I like the way it ends too. Some of you might not agree but it is exactly what the title is about - LIMITLESS! :)

In addition, many people are still wondering who killed the blonde woman after the one night stand that was reported in the news. I think it is not him despite the speculation.

Other fantasy about the fully protected house that he agreed to buy almost immediately, was like a dream house. Other scenes that he was flaunting his language skills and his intelligence at speaking was really great. He was so convincing and confident, and these kind of imagery gives a high beyond euphoric. As this movie is very thoughtful and provocative, I am wondering whether if medical science could improve intelligence up to this level. I read that a physics professor by the name 'James Kaklios' said that it is plausible. It means it is probable or seeming reasonable. The only problem is the advancement of neurochemistry for this to be possible, that's all.

So this is how I think it will end. This is my version of its ending:
He was exploring the medical science in the laboratory with an expert. And I think he was able to make him duplicate and mass produce that drug, thus make him continue to be so 'limitless' in using his brain.

What are your views?:)

Soup for the Soul: Soup drinking - Before Meals or During Meals?

Hat off, please

Slight differences are observed in the way people prefer to drink the soup.

Let's try to ask something here:
Do you drink the soup before meals or during meals?

Soup is usually serve before the main course. Somehow this is how it is for the western meals. For easterners, such as Asians including Chinese, the soup is eaten/drunk during the meal.

The rationale is simple.

Drinking soup during the meal aids digestion. So the soup mixes up the food and helps absorption of nutrients at the same time.

Ume blossoms in the clear soup

Soups are good alternatives to an entire meal. For instance, Lana was feeling slightly unwell because she couldn't breathe very well. Her glands feels pain and she was yearning for some chicken soup. We live a few streets away. So my wife made her some chicken soup (with some carrots, one large onion, chicken, some mini egg pasta and chicken wings). Basically, what you get from one hour of cooking this chicken soup is a real authentic home made Chicken soup.

The soup gives much nutrients and energy, enough to last you for the day even if you are not eating anything else. It is also healthy, with the fresh vegetables such as potato, carrots. Potatoes gives a great source of carbohydrates.

Protein can be included if you add eggs, turkey, pork other than the chicken. In Hungary, Hungarian families likes the 'Hen Soup'. This delicious and nutritious Hen Soup are just as energizing as the Chinese Herbal Soup.
Beef Noodle @ "Taoyuan Street Beef Noodle"

Be it quick and easy or those that requires as long as four hours, the kind of soup that are prepared by a form of indirect cooking are worth mentioning. It is called 'doubled boil' soup.
It is more flavourful and has a nutritious texture as compared to 'simmer soup'. Simmer soup are cook at 100 degrees Celsius in liquid. Sometimes, you can even achieve a good quality soup using a pot or a slow cooker.

Zsolt likes soup that are clear. And double boiling gives it such a clear texture due to the indirect cooking method use. It is well-flavoured and do not underestimate it's clarity. Using an electric stew pot or the ceramic soup pots can help to get an equally delicious soup.

Have you wonder what is the similarity of the Chinese and Western way of making soup?

Well, it is the thickening methods use to make the soup.

Chinese uses corn starch, even possibly potato starch. However, Western soups use vegetables such as potatoes or tomatoes or even the addition of flour to thicken the soup.

Bableves (totally yummy!)

Stews are always preferred to be made with vegetables and not flour. In Hungary, there is the infamous goulash which is a soup that looks like a stew. You really are highly recommended to try this titillating soup! It is so 'heavenly' :) and of course, not necessary only if you are personally here in Hungary, you can order it from authentic European restaurants too.

Year of the Rabbit - Zodiac Matters

Rabbit Year 2011

All the possible characteristics of the gentle animal, rabbit, are considered when you start to speak about this zodiac this year. In 2011, it is the year of the Rabbit. Some people consider them as the 'weaker' animals. They are usually preyed on by the 'stronger' predators.

Those on in the years 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987 and 1999 are generalized within this group. They are born in the Year of Rabbit and are believed to be more conservative than the other zodiacs, like the rat, ox, tiger etc.

Virtuous is also the other good characteristic about those in the rabbit year. Attribute-wise, those being born from 3 February this year until 22nd January next year are 'Metal' Rabbit. Metal is one of the five elements and it is YIN in character. Yin is characterized with inward motion and contracting energy.

Papa~ Where are you~?

These short tailed, long ears mammals also has metal attributes which are about controlling, force, materialism, ambition and self-reliance. I am personally not superstitious, but people who are usually prefer to have children in this year as compared to the tiger year for reasons like these attributes.

I think you can find many other people in the other zodiacs who are with impeccable manners, sensitivity, kindness and graciousness. Similarly, there are those who are not born in the year of rabbit who are desirable like these mentioned in the zodiac.

I want to believe that everyone has an opportunity to lead a quiet, tranquil, peaceful life, and living in a congenial environment like what is believed to be that with those born in this year. To shine in the law and politics and fields of government. Thus, it seemed to make those born in the rabbit year ideal diplomats or politicians. To those single rabbit people, they want to believe that they are more compatible with those born in the year of ram, pig and dog. Are you born in any of these mentioned zodiacs?

Zagreb Cathedral | Croatia

It has a nice mood around. Not the same as the one in Strasbourg, France. This one doesn't have a gothic feel. It has some elements of Baroque after it was rebuild due to the heavy damages by the Tartars.

This part of the stairs captures the mood very well. Even the colours are very special. Don't you think?:)

Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies by Zannnie

Finally a success. The ideal texture for Chocolate Chip Cookies I supposed is chewy, soft in the inside, hopefully melted chocolate chip upon the first bite.

mmm...yummy... These are 'really wicked' Chocolate Chip Cookies I must say. Not exaggerating.

This recipe yield 4 dozens.

The ingredients used:

50 g cocoa powder
310 g all-purpose flour
250 g butter, softened
185 g packed brown sugar
55 g white sugar
2 g salt
5 g baking soda
100 g chocolate pudding mix
3 eggs
6 ml vanilla essence
275 g semisweet chocolate chip

This is what I did:
Preheat oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Sift together the flour and baking soda, set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together : butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended. Then stir in eggs and vanilla essence. Blend in the flour mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips. Spoon cookies into rounded shape and drop onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 6 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool on baking sheet for 4 minutes. Serve or store.

The secret to the chewy texture is the usage of slightly more butter and baking it in the oven for only 6 minutes (and NO LONGER THAN this), then of course, leaving it to cool on the baking sheet for another 4 minutes so it continues cooking yet allowing the chewy texture to form).

We are going for a picnic at the Margaret Island tomorrow and we will bring two dozen of it! :)

Is Freedom a scary thing? Palackposta Muhely

161555_100002039149056_5180639_n

Palackposta Muhely has organised a theatrical program and in my opinion it is an absolutely good initiative. The main objective is to integrate anyone who is facing mental health problems via poetry, arts and drama programs. It was an event held at RS9 which is a cafe that has a small theatre inside. Such initiatives are rare in Hungary that allows a creative outlet for people who are looking to de-stress.

There is a very special song chosen as filler music. Between the various acts and between scenes: for prologue and epilogue. It demonstrated a level of professionalism in theatricality as well as performance. Entirely, it was very beautifully executed and most of all, added a wonderful touch to the whole event by Palackposta Muhely.

If you were to look through the lyrics, it might be disturbing to some people. Laurie Anderson has such a wonderful voice and this 'Statue of Liberty' in the song has such meaningful parts. See video:

Moon rises and sets
In the real world
Islands and hurricanes
Wind blows in fort jersey
It floats across the bay
Into the open ocean
It's a good day
To run away
Freedom is a scary thing
Not many people really want it

Me I keep my distance
I'm always near
That's just my way
Cool water
That's just another speckle on horizon
Just another speckle in the sea
Cool water
Cool wind

Statue of liberty
Stands in the harbor
Holding her torch
Hello goodbye
To all the men and women
Who pass through her port
Into the open ocean
Just another speckle on horizon
Just another speckle in the sea
Cool water
Cool wind
Freedom is a scary thing
Not many people really want it

One part says 'Freedom is a Scary Thing'. By now, you should know that freedom comes together with responsibilities, thus it makes it 'a scary thing'.

Imagine if you are free, it means you have a free choice. However, it also means that 'YOU' and only 'you' are responsible ENTIRELY, for any decision you have made. Some thoughts, just wondering if you also agree...
