The Ambassadors of The King is a gospelchristian rap group from Brookhaven MS. We made a short interview with them:

If you have to introduce your group and your team spirit in one minute, what will you say?

I would say if you enjoy learning and entertainment then you should listen to our music. Not only will we feed your soul, but we will feed your spirit as well. Our hip hop beats makes the soul jump out the body into a self-less state, making the spirit vurnerable for feeding. Matthew 4:4

What are the things you all share the most? And what have you all achieved together?

We share a passion for others. We all want others to really take the time to anaylize life. Why are we here? What is our purpose? Why we suffer? Our mission is to answer these questions with the doctrine of Christianity. John 14:6 We have achieved best rap group and songwriter of the year awards in SouthWest Mississippi and have traveled all across the south of Mississippi.

What is the most important to everyone in your team?

The most important thing to everyone is seeing people saved. Seeing people set free from a mindset that was created by this life. We want to be discipled to make disciples who are baptized by water and of fire and follow the instructions of our creator. We would also like to see us grow and develop as individuals/artist. We would like our gifts to be a tool that God uses to bring his will to past.

How is it like for everyone in your team when you feel 'team' while you are performing?

It is so amazing to perform with a group. We feed off one another. So IF ONE is sad and down with the performance then everybody else will be. So learning how to minister off one another is a challenge. It takes practice, practice, and more practice to learn one another values, strengths ,and weaknesses on stage. We will never stop learning one another so every performance is another level.

Rail Journey to Italy

This week we are preparing for a short getaway trip to Italy. The preparations reminded me the previous Italy rail journeys we had. It was so much more comfortable than we had expected. For this I am comparing the journey with an air plane ride.

Our ride there by the rail was on an overnight sleeper train. One of the others we had tried was to Venice and it was amazing.

Traveling to Italy from Budapest can be comfortable and inexpensive in this manner. Normally, my wife will pack some sandwiches and nachos chips and fruit juices as refreshments along our way to Italy.

The passenger seats of the day couchette are converted to the sleeper for two (which is like two beds) and it comes with a sheet for each. There is also a blanket and a mini pillow provided.  In the same compartment is a washbasin. Washrooms/toilets are located some short walking distance at the end of the train.

We bought the tickets for a couple, so each couchette car were just the two of us and I like that we can have our own privacy in this manner within one compartment.  To some extent, I find it romantic. Night trains are great alternatives as an accommodation and arriving in Italy the next morning, you can continue your sightseeing. The cost savings from in this form of travel is great. In the morning, a complimentary breakfast with hot tea or hot coffee are served. There are usually ham and egg sandwiches, orange juice and a small piece of Tiramisu. It is certainly a fun way to travel by rail.

Could you please shortly introduce yourself?

My name is Stone Stedman I am an international singing and songwriting artist and speak Spanish, French and English FLUENTLY!! I have been on the US country/rock scene since the 90’s when he played opposite Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers in Casinos across Nevada. I am also a professional drummer and actor. I have re-written lyrics in Spanish for such songs as “Rise” song of the year and Herb Alperts biggest hit of his career. Now have my own album “3 Nights In Vegas”.



In what kind of situations did you find out about the electronic cigarette?

As I toured the internet I was introduced to this alternative smoking device as a possible substitute to regular tobacco smoking and decided to try it and the rest is history.

Based on your personal experience to effectively quit smoking, how do you compare it with the real cigarette, the similarities and differences?

This device is EXACTLY like a normal tobacco cigarette without any of the harmful side effects found in tobacco cigarettes and also has the advantage that it does not produce second hand smoke or disagreeable odors of any kind and therefore can be smoked in "no smoking" areas.

What are the benefits of using this way of quitting the smoking addiction?

2. Smoke in no smoking zones
3. No bad odor on clothes or breath
4. Satisfy just like a regular cigarette



How much time did you take to completely feel the effects it in your lifestyle/life?

It took me approximately 7 months to quit regular cigarettes altogether

The King’s Speech

I have seen this great movie today. A very well composed film with interesting historical insights into the life of the Royal family of the United Kingdom. From a historical point of view I start to understand why the Brits are so committed to their Kings and Queens. They are really symbols for them representing the unity of their nation. This year the grandchild of the Queen will get married and from my culture it was not really clear why is that so important, why is that the biggest news of the year as the Royal family plays only a very particular role in the politics of the UK. I thought it was only a commercialized celeb hype but from this movie I got an impression that somehow these people are deeply connected with the culture of that country representing something continuous and something common for every single soul living in the Kingdom.

The real reason I am writing this post is about the speech therapy-line in the movie. In fact this is the main theme and I found the film very professional to describe one of the main element of every kind of therapy which is so often forgotten by professionals. And this is something that the literature of psychotherapy calls RAPPORT.

Quite a stupid word indeed, they might replace it simply with the world relationship but I agree that it is something more complex.

Wikipedia says the following about rapport:

Rapport is one of the most important features or characteristics of subconscious communication. It is commonality of perspective: being "in sync" with, or being "on the same wavelength" as the person with whom you are talking.

From this description its visible that rapport is not something difficult. I guess everybody knows the situation when you feel being in sync with someone else, that you are on the same wavelength. Every friendship, relationship or even good working teams are based on these feelings. And it is also obvious that without this mutual feeling almost nothing can happen between two human beings. At least nothing positive, building, creative…

It is easy to speak about it but it is hard to establish it, and especially harder to keep establishing it with anyone, anyhow, anywhere.

I guess the good relationship between Lionel Logue and Prince Albert was not based on the professional skills of Logue but the combination of their personalities allowed an atmosphere that has established the feeling of rapport. The hypocrisy of the helping professionals is that they create technics and methods to be able to establish this rapport, their trainers usually promise that they will be good professionals if they learn these practices and they really believe that all they have to do is to implement these strategies and that will be a guarantee for their success.

However, I believe that there are no technics only meetings, or with a more descriptive English word: only encounters. Technics are degrading. It means I am able to do something on you, only by using some tricks that I have learned. For real encounters, two is needed. It’s the dynamic of minimum two persons and spite of any schools and degrees there is no guarantee.

Not Logue was such a genius to manage to help Albert to combat with his speech disorder. Their encounter was fruitful enough to establish an inspiring and encouraging atmosphere. The movie shows somehow the little moments of these encounters and that made the movie so great.

Dogwood Equestrian Products

If you ask me, I just know a few key words about horse riding and horse care. Perhaps the most obvious would be the saddle, headgear and the boots. As for the other horse equipment and accessories, I really have no clue. Fortunately, while talking about horse riding with Daphnee, she gave lots of insights and Zannnie started to learn about tacking up as a start.

First the saddle, then the bridle. Bridle is use over the horse's head and use to direct it while saddle is the main supportive structure for the rider and it is fastened to the horseback by a girth. It is important that the saddle is fitted properly because the pressure points on the horse's back muscle has to be taken care. Otherwise both the rider and the horse can get injured.

Zannnie also get to learn a lot new equestrian vocabulary, horse equipment and jargon, like stirrup, acepromazine (ace), hackamore, martingale, to name a few. It is interesting how the Hungarian people are believed to have arrived from Asia by their great horse riding skills and now that horse back riding is being part of the Hungarian heritage. There are still many equestrian programs and opportunities for horse back riding in Budapest and Hungary. One best example is the Great Plain where there are mansion hotel and stables that offer riding services.

Together with Daphnee, we visited a horse riding school in Budapest and we saw those horse tack items and horse equipment such as reins, bits (which is placed in the mouth of a horse) use to assist a rider to communicate with its horse. Of course, the halter and the harnesses. It is like an entire industry of reins available there too.

The thing Zannnie appreciates is the benefit about horseback riding, the physical benefits. It not only stimulates the cardiovascular system, but also improved co-ordination and relaxation.
