Istanbul Impressions

When you travel for work you have no any opportunity to explore the place, to look around, to visit all the sights you may want to see. You are a prisoner in the workshop room or in the office. Thats how I am in Turkey now..in this wonderful city of Istanbul.

I had just few hours to go out and he following pictures are my little moments about a place which is very rich in those little details what I like in a city.

I was really luck to catch the sunset time. On the only sunny day of the week.

Istanbul

This is the view from the hotel's breakfast room. I would be able to spend hours with a view like this. Especially I like to see the lot of ships on the sea.

Istanbul

This bridge is very alive. Dozens of people are fishing there, very packed with their sticks and it brings a special mood to the place. Actualy Istanbul is very alive. And not the tourists make it alive like in Prague but you can find the local people even in the downtown.

Breakfast with Saddam in 2006

It was long time ago. More then two years ago I guess. It was a morning and while I had my breakfast I turned on the TV and they showed the execution of Saddam Hussein on the CNN. A surreal moment. I was sleeping mose likely, and while I was sleeping they executed Saddam Hussein.

Some very far event from me…I slept like every day..I was not bothered at all…and meanwhile few 1000 kms away they hanged someone who died.

Totally virtual to me. Actually the execution of Saddam was just the same 20 seconds news to me like when I hear stories what did Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have for breakfast.

If I was a UFO I guess I would have been very suprised. I would see a man who made terrible things…this old man..this Saddam….He was really a wicked man. But somehow these human beings after terrible things happened do something terrible again in the name of the previous events.

Killing people is terrible. Thats what Saddam did. And those who found it moraly as a bad thing…did the same thing. They killed a human being.

If I was an UFO I would be very surprised seeing the human beings of this planet.

Hungarian Cycle Chic

This new website the Hungarian Cycle Chic is written in Hungarian but I guess even without knowing the language you will enjoy it. A new cyclist site about Hungarian girls who are riding bycicle in Budapest but they keep their style looking rather a woman and not a sportman.

Here's to the Crazy Ones

Here's to the crazy ones.
The misfits. The rebels.
The troublemakers. The round
pegs in the square holes - the
ones who see things differently.
They're not fond of rules and
they have no respect for
the status quo. You can praise
them, disagree with them,
quote them, disbelieve them,
glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing that you
can't do is ignore them.
Because they change things.

- Jack Kerouac
